Morton's co-founder, Klaus Fritsch, was experimenting with hamburger recipes and sent a sample to a visiting executive...who happened to be Arnie Morton! After trying the hamburger, Arnie burst in the kitchen demanding to meet the chef behind the tasty creation. That was in 1978... the start of a great partnership between Klaus and Arnie and the beginning of Morton's The Steakhouse.
