Georgetown's 25th Anniversary Celebration

When Arnie Morton decided to open a second location of his legendary restaurant, Morton's, he chose Washington, DC. His good friend, Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House (of Congress, that is), would help him. From the day it opened in DC's fashionable Georgetown, it was the power dining spot where lobbyists and congressmen dined, where business deals were made and where celebrities came to dine and be seen. It still is. The 25th anniversary celebration was a grand reunion of employees and guests. The Chicago contingency can still be found at Morton's. Guests included Marty Russo, who was a congressman then, and a lobbyist now. Morton's president, Edie Ames, was introduced to Bill Anton, who came to DC with the Reagan administration, and is now the chairman of the board of the CIA - Culinary Institute of America. Media from the worlds of politics, business and style celebrated with the staff and guests who have been with and dined at Morton's for 25 years.
